Amaretto is an Italian liqueur which is made from apricot pits and any number of added spices and flavourings but surprisingly it may or may not contain almonds. The original version was made in Saronno, Italy. Monin Amaretto syrup has a sweet almond flavour, with a fruity aftertaste and is a great alternative to the liqueur with a fantastic flavour full of Italian style and romance.
