Alexander the Great is said to have brought apricots to Greece and the Roman General Lucullus is attributed with exporting some trees to Europe. In Europe the apricots were considered an aphrodisiac as in William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. High in fibre and natural sugar the apricot is associated with medicine by the Chinese. Our Monin's Apricot syrup is a light cloudy orange colour with a rich ripe apricot jam flavour and a slight hint of acidity. Its perfect for cocktails, fruit punches and teas.
